The question in the case of Sitzer/Burnett vs. NAR is why brokers representing home sellers often pay the commission of the brokers representing home buyers. The practice previously allowed brokers to offer compensation paid by the seller on the MLS system. Today that system of compensation has been eliminated as a result of the new law.
